THRAWN Biography
DJ Thrawn (aka Lewis Richardson) has been DJing since early 2004 and started his career doing sound effects for his school plays. Now he is a keen hip hop DJ and Turntablist.
He first felt the pull of DJing when he saw the Linkin Park/executions collaboration and realized that scratching was more than just a ‘wika wika’ noise. But it was upon hearing 2 many DJ’s “As heard on radio soulwax part 2.” that he finally decided to buy his first set of decks.
He’s DJed many parties for friends and dreams of the day when he finally gets to perform in a club environment.
His inspirations include DJ Qbert (he’s possible on of the largest Qbert Fans out there), Jazzy Jeff, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Yoda and 2 many DJ’s.
He also works for a charity called ‘Fishaid’ helping young children with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer and he is currently trying to organize a UK tour which will feature one of his favorite DJ’s. | read more
