STEVE RIOT Biography
Born in 1970 in Luxembourg, Steve R.I.O.T. started DJing 1987. After 2 years, he signed his first resident contract in the legendary “The Flying Dutchman” (voted twice into the TopTen of best international clubs in Germans music magazine SPEX) and stayed there for 12 years. As resident, Steve played every style, Alternative Rock, New Wave, Big Beat, Reggae, HipHop and every over style an open mind can imagine. During that time he and Dr.Gonzo, formed a DJ collective named ANAISSoundsystem. Both played in every known club in Luxembourg. Being focused on Reggae first, they started quickly to explore other styles, started to promote Bands and other DJs. After 8 successful years ANAISSoundsystem split, mainly for private reasons. In 2002 Steve moved to Brussels/BE and started to work as a DJ Gospel Emcee’s HipHop Project.
Steve develops his style as a DJ and plays mainly Elektro/Breakbeat. Some DeepHouse, TechHouse & Minimal can be found too in his sets.
His first love, Reggae, is expressed in his in 2009 founded project PLEMM PLEMM SOUNDSYSTEM, where he is joined by Carlos aka Tivi & Melting Pol. | read more
