SISTERCANDY Biography
Language: EnglishJane Candy started djing in 2005, after many years of collecting lounge, funk and jazz music. Alongside djing she has done a lot of graphic, website and pr work for many djs, artists and labels in Romania.
After some time of taking it as just a hobby, she got the chance to host 2 weekly radio shows online for Sk Radio in Canada and Radio Trance Romania. Things have become serious ever since then. She has played at major music festivals all over the country, such as House Parade™, Electrees [Iasi], Freedom Of Music Fest [Cj] and Urban Blast [Buc]. She has had the utmost pleasure of playing alongside many of the big romanian djs in her country along the years.
She moved to Bucharest in 2007, and in a short time other collaborations appeared. She’s been active as an assistant director for music videos, to Rocca @ Freespace Films; a webmaster/designer for rock band Firma, and in late 2008, she has finally been signed as a dj to an agency.
She is currently working on improving her act, learning more and more, and trying to produce her first album, a mix of lounge, dnb and Brazil influenced songs. The rest is what hard work will bring.
