ROBIN CYPRUS Biography
His interest in music began in the late 80s at the early age of 13. This urged him to take various music theory and instrument lessons for the next 4 years. During this time he also acquired amateur dj skills which he experimented in at friends parties.In 1996 he joined Zenith Radio, one of the most popular radio stations in Nicosia and began playing his preferred music style Funky & Tek-House. A few years later he got his first residency playing mainstream music at Fenomeno Club in Nicosia. This was the beginning of his professional career as a Pro DJ playing in various clubs. A year later, in the summer of 2001, he passes from Nicosia to Larnaca as the resident dj of the well-known club Music Box with a capacity of more than 800 clubbers (Since then still in Larnaca nightlife at various clubs). Later in 2004 he decided to participate in the first Pioneer DJ Competition to be held in Cyprus. He sent his demo and within a few days, he received a phone call that informed him of his qualification to the semi-finals. Here, 16 DJs would play and show their dj skills live in front of the committee. At the end of the day, his successful set gave him his ticket to the finals. The 4 finalists would compete for the title of Best Pioneer Dance DJ 2004. During the week before the finals, he worked hard to prepare for the big night. The work paid off since his dj set received the highest score giving him the first prize and of course the title of Best Pioneer Dance DJ 2004.
