Raised on the outskirts of Amsterdam, Olav Basoski was exposed to musicality from a very young age, his entire family having some kind of musical background. It was during the disco heyday of the 1970s where he developed his affinity for turntables, having started DJing at the age of 15. He purchased his first electronic equipment when he was 21 thanks to a small loan from his parents, and eventually released tracks on Rhythm Records in collaboration with Dutch mixing Champion Erick E, with whom he also fathered their Work imprint. Since 1996 Basoski has nutured his solo career, becoming a successful DJ and remixer, and one of the most respected names in house music today.
