MAREEN Biography
Language: EnglishIt was in 97, when Matija Marincek aka DJ Mareen fell under the influence of electronic music, and his ambition to become a DJ grew bigger and bigger every day. The final decision was made when he visited Dance Valley festival in Amsterdam and heard artists like Timo Maas, Danny Howells, Darren Emerson and many other great djs. He had to instantly buy his own turntables and start a career of a DJ.
His style varies from nu skool breaks to progressive/electro based dance music. On the other hand, reggae, dub, downtempo, triphop represents his way of “feeling” the world. “Appeasing delight”!
DJ Mareen chooses his music preferably from different labels so the variety of pieces is distinctive for his sets and he aims to gradually bring the audience to the top of dancing-listening ecstasy. He swears on the technical sophistication of a DJ.
So far he presented his skills in the clubs all over Slovenia such as ex-club Lipa, K4 (Ljubljana), Cvetlicarna Media Park (Ljubljana), Club Liberty, Gala Hala (Metelkova mesto, Ljubljana),and also in countries nearby: in Bosnia (Festival of Friendship) and in Croatia.
DJ Mareen is also a member of Sound Option, a small dj/based organization from Ljubljana, Slovenia and his participation in Sound Option is a result of common enthusiasm for promotion, organization and enjoying electronic music.
