Kaarlo Eerikki or DJ KEER, was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1981 and was only thirteen years old when started attending the dance floors of in Rio and Sao Paulo. Always in touch with some of the most important DJs of the scene, KEER absorbed his influences in historic parties and some of the first after-hours (1995), following the evolution of all aspects that would form the backdrop of contemporary electronic music.

At the age of 16 he worked promoting parties like the Techno House Club, the Rock in Rio café, and several clubs in the south area of Rio de Janeiro. Working as a promoter gathering all these influences, after eight years of research Kaarlo decided to follow the footsteps of their idols becoming then, DJ KEER (his initials).

Watching live sets from artists such as Laurent Garnier, Adam Beyer, Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing and Sven Väth, and having as great influences Dave Clarke, David Carreta, Anthony Rother, Huntemann his passion for electronic music was evident.

In 2003, KEER was resident in one of the biggest clubs of Rio de Janeiro, the Bunker94, where he produced his first party: Odyssey. Besides having played in major events such as the Rio Parade (2003), Fashion Rio 2004 (C&a), Fashion Boat 2005 – Colcci (event held by the production of Fashion Week – Sao Paulo), Chemical Music Festival in 2005, an event held by Skol Beats (Directa productions) in Rio de Janeiro for Inn-Hype / Puma, also passing by clubs such as The Filter (Copacabana), Mama Killa (Ipanema), Club Fosfobox(Copacabana), Dama de Ferro (Ipanema).

KEER also played alongside big names such as Christian Smith, at Sygno Club (2005), Christian Fischer, at Dama de Ferro (2006), Gas James (UK) In Electroclub (2007), Alex Bau (GER) at Dama de Ferro (2009), Bruno Correia (BR/Portugal), DJ HELL and Marky B. (GER) at Alte Giesserei Revival in Heilbronn – Germany (2010), and the best party of the electro local underground scene, the Electrofriends (2006 and 2007), opened the event at the Oi/ Skol by Prosession in Fishbone Day Club (Buzios – 2007); and was the official DJ of the XV Pan-American Games in 2007, at Maracana stadium.

He started playing techno, then electro and today KEER has achieved an unique sound, walking in the lighter and organic tones of the house and tech-house until the darkest and synthetized ones from electro, acid tones, or even the heaviest of the new techno.

KEER’ style is boundless; he is always beyond the limits searching for new things when in the mix, with his own style and characteristics.
