JUAN AMIR Biography
Dj Juan Amir has been behind the decks for more than 8 years but his musical journey dates back to when to his childhood when he played his father collection of Disco and pop cassettes.
He was exposed to all sort of music during his teen years ranging from pop to International folk and jazz music which hosted in his hometown.
His focus in the last 8 years was on electronic dance music, ranging from Deep House, Acid, minimal House and minimal Techno, Percussive loops and rare grooves.
In the most recent years, he focused on sounds that are coming from Berlin, Cologne, Chicago and Detroit. The minimal movements believe “less is more”. This can be true for all genres; a well arranged track with the right elements is very powerful because it should derives its power from the subtlety of the arrangements and not from the overload of its elements.
Dj Juan Amir played at a lot of underground venues and local cafes in the Netherlands, in the recent years he played at clubs in his local town; Eindhoven (NL). Recently, he started to take interest in producing his own sound.
As a Dj, Juan Amir is always looking for the newest, timeless and the freshest grooves.
At times, the DJ can play any sound and everything fits together; it is this moment of unity that Dj Juan Amir achieves in his live sets; for a Dj this happens when he, the music, the turntables and the crowed become one.
