JTGROOVE Biography
Born and raised in Southern California, but new to the Nashville, TN area, JT Groove has always loved music. Growing up in a house where his mother, a professional singer and songwriter, instilled the importance of the arts at an early age. By the time he got to Middle School he had acquired his first Guitar and Drum set. He played with those instruments religiously until his Sophmore year of High School where he was introduced to Raves and Ditching parties. At these venues he had witnessed the dawn of a new era, Electronic Dance music. He was in awe as he saw Richard Humpty Vission place a 12 inch vinyl record on a turntable and mix two songs together without missing a beat. Hearing the beats of Pump Panels, Ego Acid, a tweaked blend of relentless hard bass drums and acid being filtered through the Cerwin Vega club speakers sent chills up and down his spine. At that point JT was hooked, and hooked hard. The following week he saw Richard Vission again at a Grand Opening of a Outdoor mall Party and again Music mixed with Smart Lights, strobes and lasers all while 1,000 people are dancing to artist like Richard Vission, Nina Lares, Tony B., and DJ Irene, he made his mind up that he was going to invest in his first set of Technic 1200 Turntables. | read more
