JOSH A Biography
Language: Englishjosh [a], born and raised in Virginia is making a come back in the DC EDM scene. josh played in the DC scene a few years ago and then moved his talent to the Virginia Beach and Norfolk area. josh has played many DC venues including Spank at 1223, Eye Bar, the Loft @ Dream, Insomnia, and headlining one of DC’s largest event venues, the DC Armory. Opening and closing in DC’s and VA’s finest venues, he there made a name for himself. josh held 3 different residencies in the Tidewater area for one continuous year, being one of the first trance DJ’s in the area to receive FM radio airtime. Although the EDM scene was not huge at that time, josh helped pave the way for the EDM scene in the Tidewater area.
Being influenced by the likes of Menno de Jong, Gabriel & Dresden, Markus Schulz, Ozgur Can, and Max Graham, josh has developed his own unique sound in his sets of uplifting progressive UK tracks to then progressing and blending on to the energetic, pumping sound of Belgium’s hard progressive trance. He is now in the studio working on a new production to be finished in early ’06. Tune into smu[th] music as he will be appearing as a guest in December. Visit smuthmusic for the schedule.
