JORGE PACHECO Biography
To define the term dance music should give importance to a number of factors… Knowledge, experience and quality. If you take these factors into consideration you will find Jorge Pacheco also known as VooDoo or simply P.A.C.H.E.C.O as his close friends call him, born in Maturin, Monagas state, Venezuela and raised between Caracas, Cumana, Puerto Ordaz. He started being dj in barely 82 when counted with 12 years at 84 was caught by the fever of mobile discos, tours throughout venezuela were the center of everything for him coming to play 2 times at the poliedro of caracas for more than 6000 people, in an era in which dj were not considered as the stars as at present.
After moving to united states where he joined his engineering studies and withdrew musical environment.
Returning to venezuela in the early 90’s. It is dedicated to his career during a period in which considers the dance music had lost its quality and attractiveness, in 96 starts a project … Xtremo’s Club in Puerto Ordaz, one of the most important clubs in venezuela at the end of the 90’s, meeting with old friends and new characters interacting with the circle of DJs. Entrench well in what was and will be his future… Share the daily activities with what was his lifelong hobbie … the dance music !!!… this time not like in the beginning, disco music, vintage electro and spaghetti disco of the 80’s, but the house as original source for all the present rhythms.
As usual throughout dj premiered in 2000 as a producer,’’Beatin’the drumz’’under the pseudonym of DJ VooDoo. track which distributed among his friends Djs, the track was played everywhere in venezuela and was not marketed because it was a single proof of what he could do as a musician.
He has also been described by many as the best colleague that a DJ can have.
The rest is history as they say, participation in festivals, brands sponsored tours, special guest on major radio stations and clubs nationally and internationally.
Few broad trajectory DJs that have repeated or returned to the roots and maintained their professionalism and humility, many of his colleagues show appreciation and admiration after the closure of what he does in the studio or behind the decks, this is testimony to his impeccable taste, and unrivalled talent.
Jorge is currently based in Argentina, one of the major centres of exploitation of electronic music, where he tries to position itself and show the talent that comes naturally… Venezuelan as a whole.
The Djs to keep ahead in the game have to adapt and change to catch up with trends, Jorge is a master at this, in the dj booth, at its own expense complete control over the crowd with a style that is impossible to express in words, the incorporation of anything, from a house or a fierce electro to driving of a techno and beyond.
