JEREMIAH J Biography
Language: EnglishDJ Jeremiah J has been a pillar of the Left Coast Underground scene. In his lengthy underground techno career he’s amassed a resume that includes Traveling DJ, Record Store Owner & Event Promoter.
The underground scene first struck J while attending early LA warehouse parties. His love for Techno manifested in a promotion company that produced the legendary Coronation parties(the scene’s first techno DJ battle) and Catwalk (the scene’s first Rave Fashion show; appeared in Newsweek!). Additional promotion activities featured the “New Moon” Hush Family parties and the underground club series “Unbirthday Party”.
The Subsonic family combined to man Subsonic Records & MHz Music and propel the SoCal techno scene.
Currently, J manages Subsonic Record Pool, a spin-off of the Subsonic Record Store and features a private collection and allotment service for working class DJ’s.
In 13 years, J has traveled and played across the country remaining an underground favorite. With the vision and sound of a dancer’s DJ, he maintains a very distinct sound and hard groove. His style is a direct reflection of the LA scene as its hard edged and energetic.
With age and travels, he’s also developed a distinct lounge sound that’s distinctively hard, funky and deep.
Currently, DJ Jeremiah J can be heard on 2 weekly internet radio shows and various parties.
