JASON RISE Biography

Since his childhood he was very interested in music. At the age of 11 he began his studies in Szekesfehervar majoring in competition – and party dancing, which lasted 2 and a half years long. Unfortunately he had to end his studies there due to family problems. In those times he started to like modern dance music so much that he began collecting them, too, and very soon this hobby turned into one of the must important parts of his life.
In elementary school he was a very active helper of school’s radio program broadcasting and later on he organized class – and school parties which he was responsible for. He kept on doing this activity for another 3 and a half years in high school, too, as member of student council.
His amateur career began in the spring of 1998 with teenager party. Back then he played everything from R&B to heavier techno.
Thanks to Attila Nyeste later on he became familiar with the secrets of radio hosting and the art of funky at the legendary former Club Akropolisz in Szekesfehervar. Within the category of electronic music, he favored house recording the best, however, he mostly played trance music and Hungarian hits.
Nowadays, his repertoires mainly consist of house recordings, but since variety is very important for him, he doesn’t mind wondering into other styles for 1-2 songs. Within the style of house he ranges on a wide scale, thus he doesn’t like to be categorized since there is everything in his mixes from delicate Latino tunes through deep to massive progressive music, spiced up with a bit of Conga solos and popular vocals.
He first performed in August 2000, in front of nearly 1000 people on the P.I.K. WEEK Youth Festival.
The entire summer of 2001 was very interesting at a Disco in Balatonszarszo, where he was one of the resident DJs at Club Toparty from Sunday to Friday.
In the early summer of 2002 he was spinning his discs on weekdays at the Coca Cola Beach House Hungarian Restaurant and Beach Bar.
In August 2003 he picked up his new name, Jason Rise.
Since August 2004, he also takes part in parties organized by G&G Records, and deals with marketing issues for the office of G&G.
He worked for an internet radio station called Radio69 which was established in September 2004, and by which he hosted the Classic House program.
In September 2005 he joined the team which builds up of the founders of the DJ Academy | read more
