HECTOR CASTRO Biography
Language: EnglishA new and up and coming DJ, Hector began Djing at the age of 14 at after grads and school dances, later getting a contract at a local club at the age of 16. After taking a break for a few years and finding a new venue, he decided it was finally time to hone his skills and move into the club scene. A moved inspired in part by a Dj at a major club who decided to help this new kid out as well as to one of the first club nights where he saw a world renown Dj play, that DJ Felix da Housecat.
After getting a residency at a bar on the night club strip in town, Hector began getting more involved with the hip hop scene playing at Legends Pub and The Guilty Martini on its urban nights. It took a Ferry Corsten show to make him realize that dance music was the only kind of music for him. Shortly after that show Higher Entertainment was born. A promotion company headed by him contracted as many DJs as possible to open a new dance night at The Guilty Martini. This is how The House Electric was born, as a night to showcase the best DJs in the city in a non-after-hours environment that was accessible to the public. The ever growing success of this night as well as the collaboration of all the DJs involved in this night have helped broaden the musical spectrum of this new DJ helping him learn the tricks of the trade at a greatly accelerated rate. With club night offers consistently knocking at his front door as well as constant requests for private parties itâs easy to see that it wonât be too long before we all know who Hector Castro is.
