FYRBEAT Biography
DJ Fyrbeat (aka Amber Angell) started mixing over 5 years ago, and her first 12" purchases included “Azzido Da bass – Doomsnight” (2000) amongst a range of the current garage and trance tunes out back then. Growing up in Staines saw the local scene subjected to the garage phenomenon, and after investing in a pair of 1210’s the young DJ decided on mixing trance and breaks. With the support of friends, a run of small events and many house parties took her through to university life. Experience of playing out to a large crowd was gained here, and as well as DJing the existing events, DJ Fyrbeat started holding her own successful events at the Students’ Union. A major career break then came along, in the form of the National Telegraph DJ competition. | read more
