FRANZO KOLMS Biography

Franzo Kolms started out as a DJ at the age of 13. His first gig was at the local club Opus Pro in 1999 and at the same nightclub he developed his mixing skills. Two months after his first gig he participated in local DJ contests and won 1st prizes as the most Professional mixing dj. At the age of 15 he was invited to play at the most popular techno club in his country (Latvia) at that time M-808. He showed a really good performance playing among other proffesional dj’s as he mixed techno and funky house in his dj set. Alongside his dj-ing he put his first steps into music production field. Mostly he made tracks for his dj sets but eventually Franzos own produced tracks were played at the most popular radio station (Super FM – now European Hit Radio) in Latvia. After the gig at Club M-808 and successful tunes in radio he got to play more and more at well known nightclubs and parties all over his country. At the age of 17 Franzo went to Chicago where he got to play in many undergound parties and couple nightclubs downtown. Later on he came back to Latvia where he joined Illegal DJ Team Riga dj’s with whom he played together for a year but later on he decided to create his own promotion team – Frixdance promo that promotes parties all over the country with love to quality electronic music. | read more
