Language: EnglishEsteban Caicedo aka DJ ELE-ven was born at Quito, Ecuador in 1986. Now he’s 22 years old in where the half of his lifetime he has mixed and produced music. In his early age, he felt an attraction to being in the environment of electronic music. At 12 years of age, he began mixing at family occasions and then at friends’ parties. Later, he had the opportunity to mix music at dance clubs around Quito as an open warm-up, where he was heard by important Ecuadorian DJs who gave him the opportunity to become a permanent DJ at certain dance clubs for his style in improvising in House genre.
He felt that his spirit toward music had to change from being a hobby to a profession and decided to study Sound and Acoustic Engineering at Quito, Ecuador. After studying 3 years he was invited to seminars in San Francisco, California, USA where he learned a deeper sense in the genres of Progressive House and Electro House. After few months, he moved out to New Jersey, USA where he produced a couple of his own songs which near in the future will be compiled to his first album which will be named “The ELEven Wonders of the World”. For October, DJ ELE-ven is thinking to return to Ecuador to show his new mixing talent and own music to his city, Quito.
All that he has encountered and been through is just the beginning for a new generation in Electronic Music.
