Language: English“Edwin Kimes, aka DJ ed.dictive is one of the finest techno artists in the US. He started mixing in Austin,TX in 1994 and won his first residency in 1997 at the Proteus Club, a Dance club in downtown Austin. Ed.dictive also became a major figure at local parties where he employed more of a break beat sound. However, as house and drum&n&bass ruled the scene. Ed.dictive kept pursuing his own unique sound and never relented.
Ed.dictive’s DJing was known for it’s dynamic-mixed sets and incredibly original sound, where thumping tribal techno, banging grooves, twisted electro breakbeats and rampant deep bass lines could be delightfully integrated in the same set. The man loves his music and music as a whole. The energy he passes on when hes at work and the dramatic response he gets with any public is amazing. Always smiling and charismatic, ed.dictive on the decks is synonymous with burning up dance-floors and cheering crowds.
After having conquered a privileged place in the Texas DJ scene mixing it up in clubs, parties and internet radio, ed.dictive is preparing the first release from his own label, Vive Records, which promises the same energy and charisma hes so well known for."
