dJESSa (pronounced ‘dee Jessa’)
dJESSa (Jessa Fahre Carre) was born April 30th, 1987 in a small town in north east Italy. Friends call her Jessa “fairy” carrie as her birthday falls on the first anniversary of the ‘fall out cloud’of Chernubyl (the world’s worst nuclear disaster), which thoroughly devastated northern Italy and Switzerland beginning on April 30, 1986 and lasting exactly one year to the day with deadly levels of radiation.
Jessa has been fascinated with sound since before she was even able to walk. Her parents claim she first held herself up by grabbing on to the family’s piano, an instrument which quickly became one of her favorite hobbies. She studied piano through the Susuki method from a very early age. Susuki is an eastern methodological philosophy concentrating on the ear as the artist’s ‘eyes,’ thus rejecting any traditional methods of reading ‘sheet’ music. Jessa claims that is was through Susuki that she mastered the art of vibration, which has helped develop her inborn gift as a live performance artist.
Through a bachelor of arts degree in electronica music production and 11+ years in the dance music industry, dJessa
has increasingly perfected her natural musical talent; resulting in her vigorous dedication to her originally crafted podcast entitled “Dance & Trance”. The internationally acclaimed podcast ‘Dance & Trance with dJessa’ is broadcast to 100,000+ listeners every month through facebook, reverb nation, dJessa’s SoundCloud account, and various radio residencies all over the world.
The artist is successfully living out her passionate vision to helprestore the natural masculine/feminine balance throughout the world with her music, photography, poetry, and philosophical insight. In an attempt to appeal to a wide array of people, she most usually uses the musical form of mashups, remixes, & re-mashes, typically combining complimentary genres of Dance music. Trance and Progressive are her most favorite genres, as they combine perfectly to a 133 bpm (the rate at which the heart beats when resting and the “heart” beat of the sphinx in Egypt. Her specific use of this particular bpm is also the perfect median bpm between the two most popular edm genres of (masculine) house and (feminine) trance.
dJESSa tries to (strictly) only perform at outdoor, high energy,
venues. Her live shows appeal to audiences around the world. from Festivals in Egypt to the notorious Playboy Mansion in LA.
If one thing is certain with this young starlet, it’s that the Dance Music world (& our eardrums) won’t be the same once she’s through.
