Jarno Eerola (30) aka DJ Jasu aka disko_joe has been involved in the Finnish electronic music scene since 1992 when he first time found techno music from a local warehouse party. The same year he started DJing, first playing at small clubs but quickly pawing his way to be one of the top techno DJs in Finland. His mixing skills developed extremely fast and were flavored with various techniques and tricks being his trademark at the time.
During 1993 – 1998 he played in clubs & parties all around Finland together with names like Paul van Dyk, Mijk van Dijk, Tom Wax (AWeX), Choci. He was also a key member of few groups like Vaasa Raving Society organizing several successful techno parties. During 1999 – 2003 took a break from DJing and music production.
Today, after six months of building his “comeback” renamed as disko_joe he has already played in several clubs as well as gathered wide fan group around the world with his online mixes. His endless enthusiasm in finding good music regardless of the genre reflects from his DJ sets as versatile and stunning journeys into good music. He is very open and warm personality and always gives his very best to charm the audience.
As a Producer
Ever since he found soundcard to his PC at the age of 15 Jarno has shaped and evolved his ideas in music production and waited for the appropriate time to put more focus into his own music production. In 2003 he started to put more efforts on music production with a crystal clear vision to release own tracks after few years of hard work. Today, disko_joe has a collection of over 20 unreleased tracks from genres like progressive house, trance, psychedelic trance, house, breaks and ambient. He is also producing a complete soundtrack to a Finnish action movie, which will be out during Spring 2005.
