Biography
Language: EnglishCommodore a.k.a. Chris Rusnock entered into the Pittsburgh rave scene in 1994. It was at his first party that he took a strong interest in “crowd control”, as he watched the hypnotic effect that DJ Sun had over a mass of dancing kids. Commodore decided that someday he would be the one controlling the masses. Schooled by then local DJ’s Ruffian, Dieselboy, Joshua Ryan, and Smoov, Commodore picked up the basics of mixing and developed his hard hitting trance and drum n bass styles that whip crowds into frenzies.
For years now, Commodore has torn up dance floors all over the nation. Being a peak time performer has put him on the decks along side some of the worlds finest talent including Dieselboy, Kimball Collins, Feelgood, John Kelly, Cirrus, Electric Skychurch, Joshua Ryan, and Jordana to name a few. Having relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico, Commodore will continue to rock the rave scene out on the high desert.
In 2010, Commodore joined forces with fellow veteran dj Justin George. Together they are known as Assertion Failed. They play techno and electro and have great chemistry for doing it. Its quite a change for Commodore not only in genres but also in medium. They play digital which allows them to focus more on the mix and not so much on matching beats. Together, Justin and Commodore have 30 years of dj experience and they know how to rock it better than most :)
