Biography
Language: EnglishCalix was born in 1971 and since the age of 10 music plays a major role on his life.
He got much of his influence from an older brother who was also a Deejay and musician.
He experienced the late 70’s disco to the early 80’s pop & funky and started is career as a Deejay back in 1987 with only 16 years.
In Portugal, he achieved much of his relevance as a Deejay due to his strong belief and knowledge in Acid House, at the time, a recent and not well known dance variant, but on his vision a sure play to a near future.
He stands behind the decks for 10 years, playing the roots of house in some of the best Portuguese clubs. At the age of 19, he decides to improve his knowledge in computer sciences. Three years later, taking advantage of his skills, he starts cooperating with some of the best Portuguese music producers, mastering and sharpening digital audio production methods. He was a backstage shoulder for several clubs and bands that cared to take advantage of the latest audio hi-tech, in some private parties he also performed has a Deejay, took not much to managers and friends start demanding a quick return to the decks.
