Blake Fricker is the newest DJ sensation to take over South Florida. Growing up in Orlando, FL, listening to funky breaks, he soon became very familiar with the DJ scene. Sneaking into downtown clubs at an early age sparked his new found passion for the nightlife; the atmosphere, the lights, the energy, the music…

Blake was instantly inspired by legends such as Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, DJ Craze, and BT. He purchased his first set of turntables at age 16 and worked hard to perfect his own technique and sound. Blake later moved to Waco, TX, where he became a resident at Club Pump Station and began spinning for private parties and numerous underground events. After a few years in Texas, he returned to Florida where he began producing. Collaborations include vocalists: Levi John, Ryan Franchise, and the most recent, DJ Blaze. Blake has since earned residencies at many of South Florida’s most notorious clubs such as Ultra, Privilege, Level, Pearl Lounge, Envy, and The @ Lounge. Blake has also made special appearances at Free Your Mind 2008 opening for Trip Theory, Underground Warehouse 1999, Breakin’ in the New Year opening for Hydraulix, Rehab Mansion Pool Parties in Tampa, FL, and in March of 2008, Blake Fricker performed at Miami’s Winter Music Conference on South Beach. After a decade of practice, he has also mastered the fine art of turntablism, and you can expect to hear it live at any of Blake Fricker’s performances. Specializing in Breaks, House, and Dance, his newest inspiration comes from DJ’s such as Benni Benassi, DJ AM, Deekline & Wizard, and the Stanton Warriors. With his newest collaboration, DJ Blaze, you can expect high energy breaks performed live. Blake Fricker is currently ranked in the top 5 breakbeat DJs in the world according to www.thedjlist.com.
