Language: EnglishFrom the techno scene of Tampere, Petri Järvinen aka Benn, has slowly but surely risen to the top of Finnish techno DJs. His brilliant technique is not an innate skill but a result of zealous training. After playing in major events and parties in Finland, he has now set his sights on the international pitch and techno production. He has played in Germany and Estonia, where he has been signed to a booking roster of Innercity Dance Tribe.
Some career highlights that are worth being mentioned are the Kuumotus Mixing Competition 2000 which he won and Platinum Awards 2001, where he was voted as the 4th best New DJ Of The Year. He has also had feature mixes on the Yle X radio show Klubi, which is the leading nation-wide radio show on electronic music in Finland. Other appearances have been on Radio Helsinki, Radio Moreeni and on an Estonian radiostation Energy FM. Styles heard in Benn’s phenomenal mixes vary from suspenseful deep techno and colorful slamming tribal tracks to floor-shaking hard groove.
