Language: EnglishDJ BarteK spent his early years in Krosno, Poland, moving to the US at the age of 12. Throughout his life, he has been exposed to many different cultures and styles of music, which formed his taste for a variety of beats. His journey through electronic music was defined with artists like Sash, ATB and Faithless, and mixes from Judge Jules, Pete Tong and others.
BarteK’s fascination with the art of beat-matching and mixing grew stronger through the years. In late 2003, BarteK bought his first set of turntables and a mixer. For the past 3 years, DJ BarteK has spent his free time learning to spin, feeling out the crowd’s vibe, and defining his own style of French/Latin/Vocal House music.
DJ BarteK’s energetic sets have been heard online at AfterhoursDJs.org, at venues in Philly (Mokas, Ecco Qui, Skinner’s, Siam Lotus), and at several private parties, where he loves to get the crowd moving. By living in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, BarteK hopes to make himself heard and propel his “hobby” to the next level…
