AZIBI Biography

Caused by travels to the island of Ibiza since 1994 and regular contacts with the sunset culture, principal attraction and factor of competition between bars as
Cafe Del Mar, Cafe Mambo and his musical, such as protagonists Jose Padilla, Lenny Ibizarre and others that then were defining the coordinates of what it would be come to nickname of balearic ambient, a mixture of music for resonant directions, surrounding pure music mingled with the fervor of the culture acid what was surfacing in the height, DJ Azibi decides in the end of the 90`S to create a vehicle for the spread of this type of music in Portugal. When the collective Chill-House Party was raised, with the House DJs and what was allowing to present the Chill-Out music like a partner of equal foot of the house music, Dj Azibi acts under this pen-name in the seminal party in the Kascais Klub, then transferred to the Bar of Guincho (Beach Bar), where every year from 2000 the Chill-House Party happened in August, with affluences of more than 2000 people, in an environment of perfect communion with the nature.
He was also responsible for alert of a personal conversation with Mr. Ramon (one of the owners of Café Del Mar) in the distribution and sales in Portugal of the aspects of the CDs of arias, classic, dreams and volumes from 6 until 9 that were distributed by New records Madrid.
In 2002 he did the Chillout Sessions vol. 2 double cd compilation and it sells more than 7.000 copies only in Portuguese market .Across 2003 he was invited by UNIVERSAL PORTUGAL (major label ) to do a Chill out cd compilation so he realises the double cd concept “SUNSET WORLD”.They only printed 2.000 original copies for inside market…it’s sold out off course.
Parties, published Cd’s, Radio Shows, musical Production and dedication, they do so that Azibi is respected by the whole chill out Family around the world and is already considered by many people the chill out “Guru” of Portugal. | read more
