ASURASUNIL Biography
I began my DJ career in 1990 at CKMS-FM, at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario. While attending Waterloo, I met a guy named Gary “Toast” Hunter through another friend of mine…Gary had an early morning radio show Thursdays from 6-10am on CKMS. We had similar tastes in music and he invited me to help out on the show. I got hooked on the ability to choose what to play when I wanted it…without having to make a request and wait for the DJ to hopefully be able to fit it in. It became a regular thing and when the station mgmt released the next schedule, our timeslot was renamed to “The Sunny & Toast Show”.
