Language: EnglishArmin Ascari is one of the founders of the Electronic-Movement in Austria. His music is pumpinâ and very rhythmical. With his perfect technical performance and his incomparable sound, he is part of a group of DJs who are warmly welcomed at the most popular clubs and parties all over Europe.
Armin Ascari began his DJ career in the late 1980s and has been intensely involved with Electronic Dance music since then. He was one of the first DJs in Austria to introduce House & Techno to the dancefloor, thereby creating a foundation for the Electronic Movement which followed. In the course of the years, he has distilled those elements important to him and developed his own distinctive style. This characteristic high-quality sound is reflected both in his own productions, as well as in his internationally recognized DJsets. He labels his music: “Advanced Electronic”. He has also played a definitive role in the development of the dance-scene in his home state. Since 1991, he has been organizing Rave-Parties and Underground-Events regularly to expand Austriaâs House- and Techno-Scene. This time also saw the beginning of his good contacts to the surrounding states.
Since the middle of the 90’s, he has been doing very successful studio work, setting his own accents in the field of electronic music. His productions are rhythmic and compelling. In order to create a platform for electronic music, he set up his own label “Dunloop Recordings” in 1996. From this point on, he has also intensified his connection to the American scene, playing in clubs in Toronto, Minneapolis, San Francisco, L.A. and Chicago. Star DJs like Freddie Fresh, DJ Slip, and Woody McBride are among his closer friends. The reconfiguration of “Dunloop” in 1998, led to further pioneering work. The label expanded to include an Event- and Booking agency, thereby providing a communications platform for electronic music in the south of Austria and thus becoming a meeting point for the countries Italy, Slovenia and Austria. The aim is the promotion of DJ’s and the realization of high-quality events.
In 2000 he sent his own Dunloop truck to the Vienna “Love-Parade”, where he is counted a resident. He has also participated several times as a guest DJ at the Berlin “Love-Parade”. 2001 saw a release with Analog Recordings (USA) and a subsequent USA tour. His record “The Epic EP” invoked another journey in October 2002. His most recent production “Natural Dynamic EP” also features Autokinetic tracks. In addition to his performances as a DJ, Armin Ascari is at present working on his new productions, whose release won’t have to be waited for.
